The Lot Family has been cultivating vineyards since more than 50 years and has given Franca and myself inspiration to launch our own boutique project. In 2015, we fell in love with a property in Confin, restructured an old farm house from the 18th century and expanded the existing vineyard to be able to produce our own quality bubbly. Because every time we come back to this place we feel at home, we called it Casa Lot.

Casa Lot is situated on the axis that connects the high peaks of the Dolomites to Venice, cocooned among unique hills that have been recently recognized by the Unesco World Heritage. We respect the rhythm suggested by the nature and are humbled by its beauty making this part of the world appear just perfect for us.

We kicked off our first vintage in 2020 with an elegant Brut and a Profondo, unfiltered and leaving the yeast in the bottle reminding us about our forefathers who have tirelessly worked to make Prosecco what it is today.

Winemaking
Manual harvesting in crates, pressing of the whole grapes, separation of the must and fresh fermentation. Ageing on the yeasts over the winter and fermentation in the spring of the year following the harvest.

Description
Straw yellow in colour with fine and stylish perlage. The nose is fresh with notes of citrus fruit, medicinal herbs and crispy fruit. On the palate the bubbles are creamy and highlight the fresh and citrusy notes on the finish.

In April the unfiltered prosecco is bottled allowing for the second fermentation to take place around June and to continue for three months. This exquisite bubbly is ready after 12 months following the harvest.

Description

Earthy-rich yellow in colour. Opaque, typical for its unfiltered nature maintaining the indigenous yeast. The nose is very delicate with notes of toasted bread, flowers and a scent of dried apricots. On the palate the bubbles are soft. The finish is dry and fresh.
